Cecil “DJ C4” Trotman is the founder and CEO of Doomzday Entertainment, Inc. He has been dee jaying for over 10 years making mix tapes and dee jaying parties. C4 immediately found the love for the art of dee jaying and the art of the scratch. For hours and hours, daily, C4 was learning and improving his skills on the one and twos creating new mixes, beats and scratches. He began to play his mix tapes to his boys around the way and in high school knowing that they would tell him the truth if they were whack, or not. His boys were feeling his tapes, so much, they started to ask him for copies of the tapes he already made or to make a brand new mix tape, requesting certain tracks. Whenever he had his boys come to his house, he always displayed his skills spinning records. It came to a point when he wanted to take his skills as a DJ and beat creator to the next level. C4 began his quest as a recording artist with a group, shopping their demo tapes and performing at several shows, but never get a record deal. For the next six years several demo tapes were recorded, several shows, but no record deal. He and the group dealt with different people who claimed they knew people within the industry to land a deal, but it never happened. Frustration grew, but so did the hunger of getting put on. The frustration finally reached a high where C4 decided to start his own record company and produce his own music. He began reading books and speaking with people within the industry on how to start his own record label. In April 2001, Doomzday Entertainment, Inc. officially became a corporation. C4 loves producing music to please the fans’ musical taste. He produces music with the fans in mind. As long as he loves music, he will always love spinnin’. He puts his heart and soul into his music and his business. DJ C4 has big plans and is determined and hungry to put Doomzday Entertainment on the map and make it a household name in hip hop and R&B.
